New Version of OpenOffice Khmer Spelling Checker

We’ve just released a new version of our extension for OpenOffice.org 3.x to include a Khmer spelling checker. Based on the word-lists of KhmerOS and SBBIC. Allows for Khmer numbers as well as the inclusion of ទី before numbers. No longer will Khmer numbers be viewed as misspelled words. We also included some better coding to make the checker better at giving you a correct spelling for a misspelled word.  Also, now the ៗ​ character will no longer cause words to be misspelled.  In this release we added more Khmer proper names as well as additional number and date combinations. …

New Release of SBBIC English to Khmer Dictionary

There is a new release of our offline Lexique Pro dictionary that is available for download (UPDATE: now we are using GoldenDict) The SBBIC dictionary now includes the KhmerOS glossary – Special thanks to a the Open Forum of Cambodia and NiDA for allowing us to import the glossary. This offline dictionary was compiled from the SBBIC data on crowdin.net – if you find a mistake you can login to crowdin.net and make the change so that in the next version the mistake will be corrected! One of the on-going projects at SBBIC is the creation of a free use Khmer/English dictionary.  We are seeking to make improvements into how we network together with others on this project by soon releasing an online dictionary from which we will create an offline dictionary that is available for download (both it’s raw-data and for Lexique Pro.  We hope many will join us in making this project a success by becoming editors and or adding their own terms to the dictionary for others to benefit from.  Let us know if you are interested and we will keep you informed…

SBBIC Khmer Unicode Keyboard 1.0 64-bit and 32-bit Windows and Mac OS X

This keyboard includes some additions that we felt were needed so we didn’t have to switch between an English keyboard to get certain symbols. We added a colon symbol (“:” with right ALT+L or OPTION+L on Mac) as well as a dash (“-” with right ALT+D or OPTION +D on Mac).
